Each year, around the 18th October (Paramount Fitness’ Birthday), we arrange an evening of celebration and get all of our lovely Paramount Fitness Members under one roof to recognise those who have achieved great results over the last 12 months.
This year we hired out the upstairs Mezzanine at Escabeche, West Bridgford.
With 65+ of our Members confirmed, it was sure to be a great night and the excitement was certainly building in the weeks leading up to the Party.
It’s always a great evening and is a chance for the ladies to show off their new curves in a nice dress and the lads to stick on a nicely ironed shirt on (not too tight!), rather than only recognising each other in our training clothing.
Apart from getting everybody under the same roof at the same time, enjoying some nice food and a few drinks, one of the main purposes of the evening is to Award those who have achieved great results.
We have 5 Awards that we hand out each year at our Annual Members Party.
The Paramount Fitness Strongest Male
The Paramount Fitness Strongest Female
The Paramount Fitness Most Improved Male
The Paramount Fitness Most Improved Female
The Paramount Fitness Biggest Loser 2013
We have the pleasure of training some amazing people. We’ve always been complimented on the type of people we have training at PF and myself and the other Coaches couldn’t agree more.
Even though the Awards are handed out on facts & figures, based on the results they’ve achieved from our records, it is often very close to call, which was definitely the case again this year.
When choosing the Strongest Male & Strongest Female, we look at individuals who show excellent strength in a number of exercises in relation to their body weight & height. Much like you would in a weight class in Boxing for example.
We look at what exercises they can do with their own Body Weight, like push ups & chin ups, and make our decision based on that.
This years Strongest Male was awarded to Mark Ellis. Mark is ex-navy and is certainly very fit. However his strength for his height and weight is frightening, as we’ve recently witnessed in our Modified Strongman Training sessions.
This years Strongest Female was awarded to Emma Carter. Emma is an amateur Swimmers who competes regularly. Again, Emma is very well known amongst Boot Campers for her strength & endurance. I am yet to meet a women who can do as many push ups as she can, with perfect technique.
Our next award is our Most Improved Male & Female, we look at individuals who have not only achieved great results but have also changed their lifestyle and nutritional habits from when they first started working with us. We understand that each individuals starts with us at a different chapter in their book, so we have to take that into consideration also.
This years Most Improved Male was awarded to Adam Montgomery. Adam is featured on our Results Page. Adam has only been training with us for 4-5 months now, but even in just that short space of time has achieved incredible results. His before & after pictures show how he was without question, the most appropriate winner for this award.
This years Most Improved Female was awarded to Natasha Boyle. With 85% of our Members being female, this award was so close to call. With Emily Whyte a very close runner up, we had to mention Emily on the night along with Anne Hamilton, Chelsi Chapman & Gemma Hirons, who are all extremely strong females who have changed their lives no end for the better. Natasha pipped Emily to the post with an impressive 9kg Fat Loss, 9cm off her Chest, 14.5 off her Waist & 10cm off her Hips since joining #TeamPF.
Our main award is our Biggest Loser Award. This award is for the individual that has lost the most overall. That includes their Body Fat, their Weight & various Centimetre measurements.
This award had a clear winner. This years Biggest Loser was awarded to Ben Waymark. Ben attends our Small Group Personal Training programme along with training One-2-One with PF Coach, Corey Johnson. Ben has achieved some truly life-changing results since joining us. Ben has lost a total of 26kg, gone from being at risk of Coronary Heart Disease and Diabetes to a guy that cooks all his meals fresh, trains 5 times a week and has become a great role model for his Children. On top of these results, Ben has lost over 21cm off his Waist, 8cm off his Chest and 10cm off his Hips.
With the awards handed out and the speeches done and dusted, it was time to continue the celebrations with a short toast to 2014 and the party to continue into a number of Bars.
Needless to say there were no training sessions scheduled for the following morning.
Another year of hard work for all of our Members and those who will join us over the coming few months, to see who gets their name on an Award next year.
