On Saturday 7th March, Paramount Fitness Strength Coach, Dan Thorpe, hosted his popular Olympic Lifting Workshop down at the Nottingham Studio.
Having a degree in Strength & Conditioning, along with a huge passion for Olympic Lifting, Dan always ensures that he delivers to the highest standards, which is evident when you see the results he achieves with his clients.
That in mind, it was clear to see that the Workshop wasn't going to be anything other than top draw education, coaching and execution.
We have always kept our coaching group numbers small (Boot Camps included), as we believe that quality coaching is better delivered in more intimate settings.
So with 7 in attendance, we knew that each individual would get just that.
The session was delivered in a logical sequence:
- Mobility & Range Of Movement Work
- Breaking Down The Squat Clean
- Grip, Stance & Footwork
- Pull, Jump & Catch
- Breaking Down The Split-Jerk
- The Dip, Punch & Catch
- Putting It All Together
- Clean & Jerk
One of the main value's we have as a business is to ensure that we don't only educate our members, but they show a clear understanding of what's being taught.
With a better understanding, there is a higher chance of application and therefore a greater possibility of a new habit being installed.
This is the same with our Nutrition Coaching, Life Coaching & Fitness Coaching.
Each attendee was sent away with drills, exercises and movement patterns to learn which will enhance their Olympic Lifting technique.
